Hama-rikyu Gardens is a representative daimyo garden from the Edo period, featuring a tidal pond and two duck hunting grounds. The tidal pond, known as "Shioiri-no-ike," is a feature that channels seawater, allowing the pond's ambiance to change with the ebb and flow of the tide, a style commonly used in seaside gardens. Other gardens like the Former Shiba Detached Palace Garden, Kiyosumi Garden, and the Former Yasuda Garden also had tidal ponds in the past. However, currently, Hama-rikyu Gardens is the only one where seawater actually flows in and out.
Since its opening in 1958, TOKYO TOWER has been beloved as a landmark of Tokyo, standing at a height of 333 meters.
